4.0"It was very strange. We had spoken with one of the service representatives about the passenger side mirror and getting it replaced. At first he did not remember ordering it then after leaving we received a call about 15 minutes later stating they had it in. We asked if we could setup an appointment for Monday at 5:00 PM since that is the first available time we would have and he said sure. When we went in, nobody had anything on the books for a scheduled appointment and the other service agents told us they generally don't schedule anything after 2:00 PM, so they have time to finish the service requests for the day. I worked with Bob that evening and he was able to help me out even though, there was nothing in the schedule. He got somebody to take my car back and I was in and out within 15 minutes. 1.5"My overall experience was marred by the way I was treated upon arriving at the dealership. I have had my Mini and been to other dealers as well as I have owned BMW's for about 15 years. So, when I say I am well aware of the BMW experience I speak from prior experience. Mini dealers have been no exception from the experience except for this past visit. When I arrived at the Mini dealer I was instructed to ask for Robert. I did this and Robert was busy with another customer and I understand this but the representative which I spoke to just nodded his head in the direction of Robert and did nothing else. Robert, at this point, told me he would be with me shortly. The customer Robert was with took a while and I do not blame him one bit for taking care of customers. After I had waited for about 10 minutes I went back to the service desk and spoke with the other service advisor, I do not know his name, and he told me he was busy with another customer, I did not see one. I stood there for about another 5 minutes waiting on him and at this point I was very frustrated. I went to the parts department and spoke to the young lady there and she got the service manager. After I finally spoke to the service manager I told him if I could have found another mini dealer in the area I would have gone there. I have never been treated to such poor customer service for a Mini or BMW service department before. In my opinion the service department and the dealership should be about team work. The other representative saw Robert was busy with a customer and that customer was taking a while at that point he should have asked to help me other than keep me waiting. I made an appointment and was there on time for my appointment so there was no reason that I should not have been helped by my appointment time. This was not the case I did not get any help until I complained. I should not have had to complain to get help. Then the other representative only added insult to injury. After he finally came around and I told him the problem he only assumed I did not have a warranty on my vehicle and implied that I would have to pay for the issue going on with my vehicle. I know my car and everything involved with my car, including how long before oil changes as well as warranty information. If the other representative had taken my key and placed into the machine he would have seen that my issue would have been covered by the exsiting warranty. I also noticed as I was waiting for the other representative to help help me there were numerous calls and he never once reached for the phone. Robert had to stop helping the other customer to answer the phone. This is nothing but laziness and not the image of BMW or Mini. I do not know the name of the other representative but I feel he is not a good representation of the Mini image. The service manager said he would speak to the other representative but I feel this issue should be taken higher because the other sevice advisor should know that one issue can leave a bad image in the customers experience."
